Oakland Posts 4,800 Payments in One Day!

According to Revenue Manager, Steve Bullivant, on March 2nd,2011 Oakland posted approximately 4,800 payments to PSI's LicenseTrack by importing payments with PSI's lockbox import. These payments were the highest single day number of transactions processed to date and totaled approximately $5.2 Million dollars.

MailCentral processes 77,880 Tax Statements

This past week, the City of Oakland via PSI's MailCentral service has processed over 77,880 tax statements. In addition to the tax statements, also included was one page of inserted instructions and a return envelope.

Returned mail may be quickly notated on the appropriate account for staff review to avoid unnecessary future mailings.

Upon receipt of business tax payment and full compliance, most 2010 Business Licenses will be printed via MailCentral automation.

City of Oakland Gains Efficiency with Lockbox Functionality

The City of Oakland has sucessfully completed negotiations with Bank of America regarding the format and operating procedures to be used for processing up to 80,000 city business tax renewal payments.

PSI has successfully accomodated the import specifications.

The new procedures are expected to significantly reduce the labor expended in the processing of tax returns using the previous process.
